Since we live in a world surrounded by technology, why shouldn't the ski and snowboard world be affected? For my last ski trip in Colorado, I had the chance to buy my lift tickets via an electronic kiosk, which is apparently the wave of the future in ski lift ticket sales.
Although I did have some minor complaints about the system, which was not the easiest to navigate, on the whole it was a really cool experience, and the best part was that it cut my wait time down to practically nothing. As quickly as you can hit the button for the resort, select the number of tickets, and insert your credit card to pay is as quick as you get your lift tickets.
According to this article from CNN Money, we should expect to see more of these kiosks in the future, and they may even one day replace the ticket booths at some of the larger resorts.
What do you think about the change? Is it welcome, or would you prefer the longer wait to keep the personal service intact?
